Shah Rukh and wife Gauri Khan became the proud parents of their third child in 2013. This bundle of joy was given quite a unique name – AbRam. But his name isn’t the only thing that is different. The couple’s previous children Aryan and Suhana had been given birth by Gauri Khan. Whereas, AbRam was born through a surrogate mother.
Shahrukh hasn’t exposed AbRam much before media since he was born. On 3rd February, SRK delighted his fans by posting an adorable picture of himself with his son. First, the actor posted, “Poem is by Samih Al Qasim....Titled...The End Of A Discussion With A Prison Guard” this was followed by few lines of the poem. Following this, Shah Rukh posted the father son photo. Accompanied by the picture was a quote that was equally cute, “& before the tweets lead to an assumption of a troubled mindset, this pic of my Murphy baby & me...as they say "awww"”
The media had got to hear not-so-pleasant statements from Shahrukh, after AbRam was born in May 2013. The actor had said in an interview, “I am not overtly happy talking about him. He is my baby and nobody else’s. You can come home and see him if I allow you to come in my house.”
The reason for the unfriendly attitude can very well be attributed to the time when his son was yet to be born. The rumours of pre-natal sex determination test were spreading like fire. Such a test is illegal in India and there were reports that the actor had conducted it to determine the gender of the baby. Shahrukh had spoken on this issue, “I did not like that fact when the media spoke about the surrogacy. I hate it. They said I had sex determination test, which was rubbish. I am too educated to be indulging in this non-sense. He was suffering… He was ill and people were talking about sex determination just because he is the child of a famous movie star.”
Later, Shahrukh abandoned his disappointment with the media and posted the pictures of AbRam on some occasions. He had tweeted AbRam’s photos on Eid and also Christmas. Then he shared the joy of New Year with his fans on Twitter. He posted a photo of his children Aryan, Suhana and AbRam along with the tweet, “48 hrs of uninterrupted unadulterated unconditional love with my Trimurti. No place I'd rather be than holding u three. Aryan Suhana AbRam.”
