Shah Rukh Khan shoots for ‘Fan’ amid cheering crowd in Delhi

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan attracts hordes of fans wherever he goes. No wonder that scores of admirers turned up when he shot for his film Fan in a residential area in Delhi.

Delhiites were taken by surprise on Friday when they found out that none other than Shah Rukh Khan had landed in a locality to shoot for director Maneesh Sharma’s film ‘Fan’.

The superstar was seen wearing a brown jacket and carried a backpack. In between the shots, he often slipped into a black hooded jacket to conceal his identity.

But fans know well how to identify their man.

Locals gathered on the rooftops, crowded the verandahs just to have a glimpse of Shah Rukh Khan shooting in their locality.

We hear there were even shouts of ‘Shah Rukh, we love you!” from some. In response, the superstar waved at them and blew them kisses.

Well, King Khan is surely getting to meet many a fan while shooting ‘Fan’. The film was slated to release on August 14 but has now been postponed.

Shahrukh Khan: Fiction Shows Cannot Afford Me!

King Khan, Shahrukh Khan, made a comment that television cannot afford him for a fiction show even if they create a special character for him. "I am very spoiled," SRK said in an interview. When asked if he sees himself doing fictional show on TV, the Badshah of Bollywood replied to DNA, "If they can afford me! But I doubt television can afford me." When asked if he would consider it if they create a special character for him, SRK replied to the same website saying, "They still won't be able to afford me. I am very spoiled (smiles). I would love to do if it's something really amazing as a character. Sometimes, I sit down with my friends and discuss it each time we meet. So I tell them, ‘Let's do it, let's do it'. But eventually, I understand that they want me to do things that work, not the stuff that's risky but I can make it work. I kind of get out of the room quietly without telling them."

Explaining further why he stays away from fiction, SRK said, "I was joking about the price and all. You allow me to come on television because it reaches homes without a huge amount of charge. I have said it even when I was not a big star that a door knob can be a star on television. It all depends on how you film your story. When I talk to the channel heads, they are initially very excited about the idea I have. But eventually the novelty of the idea gets lost. They will tell me, aisa karna padega. We have to make 52 episodes and we have to make these changes' and it becomes really difficult to teach them the process. So, I just take myself out of it." Shahrukh Khan is currently working on his non-fiction show for &TV, India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun.

Shahrukh Khan To Cook Chicken Pasta For Farah Khan On Her Daawat!

Shahrukh Khan, the King Khan of Bollywood, will soon be cooking Chicken Pasta for Farah Khan on her cooking show Farah Ki Daawat! She even said that he has promised to serve SRK style chicken pasta. "For 21 years, I've seen Shah Rukh eat only tandoori chicken. But he's promised to serve chicken pasta, SRK style, on the show," Mumbai Mirror reported Farah informing, licking her lips in anticipation.

After the success of Bigg Boss Halla Bol, Farah will be returning to the small screen with her cooking show, Farah Ki Daawat. Thanks to her Bollywood A list friends, there have been an array of celebrities gracing her show and cooking delicasies for her, incuding Abhishek Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Malaika Arora Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia Dsouza, Gautam Gulati and many others including the TV stars Gautam Gulati, Bigg Boss 8 contestants, Manish Paul, Sargun Mehta, Sana Khan and the list is continuing. It is also said that along with Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan too is expected to grace Farah's cooking show. The viewers often get to see the celebrities performing what they are good at on screen - acting, dancing and even singing, but not often do they get to see their favourite celebrities cooking and doing trivial tasks like cutting vegetables and trying to make round rotis. Farah's show will present the B-Town celebs getting down and dirty trying to cook something edible for Farah and even learning a lesson or two in cooking.

Shahrukh Khan to lend his voice for TV show 'Razia Sultan'

Shah Rukh Khan is working on a historical TV show ‘Razia Sultan’. But sadly the superstar would not be seen onscreen- he would be just heard. SRK has lent his voice as ‘sutradhar’. He visited the sets on Monday and discussed quite a lot with the show makers. He had many questions in his mind and wanted to know about the characters. He took time for rehearsing his lines because the tone and language had to go with the era that the show featured.
A source reported how excited Shah Rukh was about this new project, “It was 1 a.m. but Shah Rukh’s energy was high. While the channel representatives were happy with the first take, he insisted on doing it again with more variation. He then wanted to try something different and got under the skin of the characters, acting them out through dialogue. His is a recognisable voice with an immediate connect with audiences worldwide. The emotion he brought into the narrative has enhanced its impact many times over.”
‘Razia Sultan’ narrates the story of the first woman ruler in Delhi Sultanate. It conveys the message of women empowerment to the audience through this influential story. She was the only woman ruler of the Mughal period and ruled from 1236 to 1240.
Another TV show Shah Rukh is currently doing is ‘India Poochega – Sabse Shaana Kaun?’ The show will be aired on the new channel &TV. It was during the filming of this show, that &TV team approached the actor and asked him to lend his voice. It is to be noted that Shah Rukh has been a student of history and was interested to come onboard. He even did in-depth research on the story and its characters, after which he saw some visuals. Rahul Tewary is producing the show. He shed some light on this upcoming serial as he told the media, “After Mahabharat we wanted to make a historical series on the first and the last woman emperor of the Delhi Sultanate and &TV seemed the right platform. The channel agreed to our vision for the show and this untold story will unfold on March 2”
The lead female role has been given to young actress Pankhuri Awasthy, who is also a VJ. The veteran actor Sooraj Thapar will play Iltutmish. Both ‘India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun’ and ‘Razia Sultan’ will be aired on &TV on 2nd March.

Shah Rukh Khan turns a narrator

While Amitabh Bachchan has given his voice to many films & TV shows, it is now time that Shah Rukh Khan (who is currently juggling between the shoot of his movie FAN and his game show ‘India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun' for &TV) does the same. SRK will be the voice for a historical show ‘Razia Sultan.'

The channel representatives wanted SRK to loan his voice as the sutradhaar for the show. ‘Razia Sultan' will open with Shah Rukh Khan's voice introducing the tale and take people back in time to his hometown – Delhi from present day to 13th century.

SRK took time to rehearse the lines as the dialect and diction had to match the era that he had to speak about. He completed the shoot of the game show that went on till mid-night and then continued with the recording of ‘Razia Sultan.' Instead of being a neutral narrator, King Khan wanted to portray his voice in a manner that the audience can relate to.

Shah Rukh went on to give a few takes for the VO at 1 in the night only because he felt that he could do better after each take. While the channel representatives were happy with his first take itself, SRK insisted on doing it again as he felt he could give a lot more variation.

Shahrukh Khan Reveals His Shocking Shooting Schedule For His TV Show!

Shah Rukh Khan is shooting back-to-back for India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun? and his upcoming Bollywood film along with it. His shooting schedule will shock everyone but, the superstar says he is enjoying interacting with real people on the TV show despite a physically-gruelling schedule. "I start Fan (his upcoming film) by 1 pm and finish by 6 am and then I come here by 11.30-12 am and shoot till 11 pm before heading back to 'Fan'." An Indian adaptation of Israeli game show Who's Asking?, the program will start airing from March 2 on &TV, the newly launched channel of ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited.

It is very tough physically but mentally I am on a break as I get to talk to so many people. I am having fun," Shah Rukh told in a telephonic interview from Mumbai. The 49-year-old star started his acting career with TV serials like Circus and Fauji before making it big in Bollywood. He later hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati followed by Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?. SRK says he decided to come onboard for the show because he did not want to let go of an original format like this. "I find the medium of TV very interesting but I don't know how to handle the fiction part of it. I like game shows and I always wanted to hit it right with a game show. This has not been seen in India and is based on an interesting concept," he says. The show is produced by Siddhartha Basu of Big Synergy and SRK says they have been trying to come up with a product for a long time and somehow things fell in place with Sabse Shaana Kaun?, a format which is more about intuitiveness than knowledge as the contestant faces questions from people of different professions, ages and gender. The actor says as someone who came from a normal background, he likes being a part of aspirational stories. "I have always maintained that I come from a very common background like many other people in India. Sometimes some very special things happen to people, you become popular, famous and successful but you don't compartmentalise it. I really want to see people have that one opportunity which gives them that one chance," he says.

When Sargun Mehta refused to meet Shahrukh Khan

TV actress Sargun Mehta recently skipped a chance to meet her favourite actor Shahrukh Khan. The opportunity had been presented to her by Farah Khan while hosting the upcoming show Farah Ki Daawat.

It is a well known fact that Sargun is a die-hard fan of actor Shahrukh Khan yet she passed up this golden opportunity.
According to a Bollywood portal, Farah Khan had originally chosen Sargun to shoot an episode of Farah Ki Daawat along with Shahrukh Khan. However when things didn't work out with actresses shortlisted to appear on Abhishek Bachchan's segment then Sargun stepped in.
She thanked Farah for having even considered her to shoot an episode with King Khan. Farah then offered Sargun an opportunity to meet SRK when his episode was to be shot.

Ramp outside Shah Rukh Khan’s house demolished by BMC

The ramp outside Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow Mannat, which had become a bone of contention for the locals in the area, was demolished by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on early Saturday morning.

The ramp outside Shah Rukh Khan’s sprawling bungalow in the posh Bandra Bandstand area was apparently used for parking the superstar’s luxurious vanity van. The locals in the area had complained that the ramp obstructed the smooth passage of traffic.

Late last month, BJP MP Poonam Mahajan had taken up the issue with the municipality and filed a complaint with Municipal Commissioner Sitaram Kunte.

Last week, Shah Rukh Khan was sent a notice by BMC to demolish the allegedly illegally constructed ramp. He was given seven days to do so.

Since the superstar didn’t get the ramp demolished, the BMC officials turned up at Mannat on Saturday morning and demolished the ramp.

Shah Rukh Khan has lately been busy shooting for the YRF film Fan.

Shah Rukh Khan speaks about success

2015 has kick-started and there is good news for Shahrukh Khan fans as there are indications of his film with Rohit Shetty going on floor in quick time and then hitting the screens before the close of year. While whispers are on that it could well be in the Christmas weekend, one awaits an official announcement. Meanwhile, one also waits for the new release date of his Fan, which has now been moved ahead from its original plan of Independence Day arrival.

However, before these two films arrive, Shah Rukh Khan would be pretty active with IPL as well as the shoot for Raees. With anticipation of yet another successful year for the Superstar, we get talking to the man, who has been around for almost a quarter of a century now, on what success truly means to him.

On his self-assessment of success

I can always say that I was the right guy at the right place at the right time. Yes, there are many out there who have analyzed that this or that must have happened in my life which made me reach where I am. But then, perhaps there is something more as well which I can't explain. Also, I have learnt that the success I am seeing is not final after all, just like failure which is not ultimate. Failure as well as success is very relative; I have faced it very often. It is mostly exaggerated.

On retaining success

However cushy success stories may sound, the fact is that how one gets there is inexplicable. Similarly, retaining it is a challenging task as well. Jab log kehte hain ki 'mehnat se kaam karo, fal milega', it is not a cliche! It is a fact that you just need to work hard. Also, there is no end to success. Hence, if you give it a material end then it would end too soon. You can't describe it or explain it; you just need to feel it.

On making use of success

I will tell you something; I have enough money, a good house, a great office and some great people around me. Everything that people aspire to be on this earth, I have that. Still, I don't think that I am successful. There is a lot more that I can create or return now. In time to come, I would like to make a great studio and create some great technology. Success is true only when I can create something out of it.

On teaching his children about success

I don't think I can teach my success story to anyone. I can assure you that the same response would come from other people who are successful.Yes, they can talk about the craft and the technique but not the essence of success. I have really no idea if I can pass it on to my children. I don't know how it would be useful to them, even if I tell them to do exactly what I did or how I walked away from something or how I begged to get hold of something. There is no assurance that if I talk to anyone about the path I followed for myself, it would lead others too towards success. It is just not possible.

Shahrukh Khan Starrer 'Fan' Release Date Postponed

Shahrukh Khan starrer Fan has been on headlines from the time the project was announced. The star had also started shooting for the film which was supposed to release in August 2015. Fan was the most awaited of the YRF-SRK collaboration after Jab Tak Hai Jaan. However, the release date of Fan has now been postponed. The film which features SRK in double role is looking for another date.

The reason for delay is due to the post production of the film that may take longer than expected and one of a kind VFX work of the film is also said to be taking quite a long time. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Fan also stars Ileana D'Cruz and Vaani Kapoor. Right now, Shahrukh is busy with his Raees which will go on floors soon. Shahrukh Khan’s Fan release date pushed ahead

SRK starrer Fan which was supposed to be the big Yashraj release on the Independence Day has now been delayed. The film will now release in the later part of the year since the post production will take time.

The Maneesh Sharma directed film is a very modern move in terms of technology and hence the VFX and effects will much longer to be executed during the post production. The delay in the release has given way for Karan Johar’s Brothers to arrive on Independence Day. Karan tweeted and informed the release date. “Adi just called and asked me to release BROTHERS on the 14th of August,2015 as FAN is postponed...gestures likes this make my day special...” he wrote. Well someone’s loss has to be someone’s gain at the end.

Shahrukh Khan New Movie ‘Fan’ Has Him Playing A Threatening Stalker?

One of Bollywood’s most successful actors, Shahrukh Khan, has already signed three new movies for 2014. As he just released “Happy New Year,” he starts shooting for his newest movie, “Fan” and it looks like some details have been revealed.
According to some reports, Khan might play an obsessed stalker for one of his double roles in “Fan.” While he plays a superstar, Khan will also be playing his lookalike commoner, who gets obsessed with the celebrity to the point where the star feels threatened by the obsession.

SRK previously described the idea behind “Fan” saying, “I liked the story of ‘Fan’ and it’s not like what has been mentioned on Twitter. I have never seen life from a point of someone who likes me. It would be very interesting for me to be on the other side. To be a fan, what does it mean felt like a good idea and it’s diametrically opposite to who I am so it would be very interesting.”
The actor started shooting for the film, but is keeping all the details under wraps. YRF is also constructing a replica of Khan’s Mannat home where they have his birthday scene for the film.
Khan will reportedly play a double role in the film as himself and a commoner named Rahul.
While he has worked with major actresses in the past, it looks like Khan is set to work with two new actresses.
During a press conference, the actor revealed some details about his next film, “Fan.”
“There are two girls in the film. It is a film where I don’t think you need a big lady star. it is cosy interesting, different film,” said Khan. “It is one of the challenging films that I have done in 20 years. We are still discussing as to how we can take it ahead. It is a story of a fan of a movie.”

Shahrukh tweets photo of his ‘Murphy’ baby AbRam

Shah Rukh and wife Gauri Khan became the proud parents of their third child in 2013. This bundle of joy was given quite a unique name – AbRam. But his name isn’t the only thing that is different. The couple’s previous children Aryan and Suhana had been given birth by Gauri Khan. Whereas, AbRam was born through a surrogate mother.
Shahrukh hasn’t exposed AbRam much before media since he was born. On 3rd February, SRK delighted his fans by posting an adorable picture of himself with his son. First, the actor posted, “Poem is by Samih Al Qasim....Titled...The End Of A Discussion With A Prison Guard” this was followed by few lines of the poem. Following this, Shah Rukh posted the father son photo. Accompanied by the picture was a quote that was equally cute, “& before the tweets lead to an assumption of a troubled mindset, this pic of my Murphy baby & me...as they say "awww"”
The media had got to hear not-so-pleasant statements from Shahrukh, after AbRam was born in May 2013. The actor had said in an interview, “I am not overtly happy talking about him. He is my baby and nobody else’s. You can come home and see him if I allow you to come in my house.”
The reason for the unfriendly attitude can very well be attributed to the time when his son was yet to be born. The rumours of pre-natal sex determination test were spreading like fire. Such a test is illegal in India and there were reports that the actor had conducted it to determine the gender of the baby. Shahrukh had spoken on this issue, “I did not like that fact when the media spoke about the surrogacy. I hate it. They said I had sex determination test, which was rubbish. I am too educated to be indulging in this non-sense. He was suffering… He was ill and people were talking about sex determination just because he is the child of a famous movie star.”
Later, Shahrukh abandoned his disappointment with the media and posted the pictures of AbRam on some occasions. He had tweeted AbRam’s photos on Eid and also Christmas. Then he shared the joy of New Year with his fans on Twitter. He posted a photo of his children Aryan, Suhana and AbRam along with the tweet, “48 hrs of uninterrupted unadulterated unconditional love with my Trimurti. No place I'd rather be than holding u three. Aryan Suhana AbRam.”
