Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale Still Not Screened In Mangaluru

Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale Still Not Screened In Mangaluru

If you live in Mangaluru and want to see Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale - don't hold your breath. The film has been out of cinemas in Mangaluru ever since protests by the Bajrang Dal. The group is protesting against Shah Rukh Khan's comments on intolerance. The film is facing this despite the state government's assurance that they will not allow groups to take the law into their own hands.

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara told NDTV, "The police has gone there. They have asked the owners to screen the movie and said we will give you the protection if anything happens. You give us a complaint we will definitely enforce the law. But unfortunately they have not given any complaints. The police has taken the situation under control and taken note of this very seriously. They have rounded up some Bajrang Dal activists. We don't allow the people to take the law into their own hands. We don't allow all these things."

Activist Vidya Dinker filed a complaint against right-wing groups for stopping the screening but on Facebook she faced vicious online abuse.

She told NDTV, "On Facebook, there were so many comments that were derogatory in nature, that were openly threatening to rape me, to assault me, to throw acid on my face, calling me all kinds of vulgar names. I thought the state would take action but it hasn't done it. So, a couple of days later on December 24, I went and filed an FIR about the online abuse. The co-convener of the Bajrang Dal in Mangalore has been apprehended. Nobody else has been apprehended. I think this is an opportunity for the state government, for the district administration, for the police in Dakshina Kannada in Mangalore. It is an opportunity to show the people that the rule of law, the constitutional values, freedom of expression, freedom of association, to fraternize with each other across communities, across caste still exist in Mangalore. We were a cosmopolitan peace loving largely peaceful society and we want to reclaim that."

The film was released in the city along with the rest of the country on December 18 but it was taken off by the theatre owners in view of security concerns on the weekend that followed.

Mangaluru and the Dakshina Kannada district as a whole have seen many cases of moral policing in the recent years and this would seem to be the latest example of that.

Hey 'patriots', before raging against Shah Rukh Khan's 'intolerance' comments, understand what he meant first!

Shah Rukh Khan

India has  possibly had enough of thisintolerance debate that has suddenly become the most-talked about issue inBollywood today. From raging againstShah Rukh Khan to banning his filmDilwale at some centres, protestors have pulled every cord they could to revolt against the superstar. But the entire showdown only proves one thing. About the organisations, a section of the media and a fraction of the Indian audience. We tend to not understand or pay attention to what a person is saying. What we do is we rather jump to conclusions.
Same happened in this case too. While a lot of hullabaloo was made out over one comment, in reality, the intent with which SRK made that statement was completely different. Recently in an interview with a leading national channel, when SRK was quizzed about the same, he immediately shot back asking the reporter to be specific. "Nowadays I want to specifically ask everyone to tell me what areas of intolerance do they want me to talk about? I want the exact context." While the reporter explains the point, SRK retorts, "The question I was asked was completely different to what it's being made out to be. Sab mere upar chadh baithe. They asked me what would be my message to the future generation. So I said for modern India- half of whose population consists of the people in the range of 25 years, the only message I wanted to give was they should not differentiate between people on the basis of region, religion, creed, colour or gender. Does this mean that this is already happening? No, I never said that or mean that."
Again, while promoting Dilwale in Kolkata, when the same question popped up, Shah Rukh tried to reason it out. "I can't deny the fact that I have been reading messages on WhatsApp, on social media and even on ground, there have been activities all around the country where perhaps, the film has been stopped or not allowed to be the way it should have been released. In the last 25 years I have received love from all corners of the country, inspite of region, religion, caste, creed, gender. The only way I want to return the love is by doing some great work. Sometimes, I succeed and sometimes, I fail, maybe on the creative part of it. So it saddens me when any of my work can't reach out to all the people. Especially when I am working with friends like Kajol. I understand that perhaps it stems from what I say or what I speak, but to be honest, a lot of things that I say are misconstrued. Perhaps misrepresented and misinterpreted at times. I am not someone who will say that after receiving so much love from this country's people, I have an issue with it. In terms of tolerance or intolerance. I don't. Like the other day, I was watching when somebody put a tweet which doesn't belong to me and I can't clarify it. I see a news which says I'm related to an X-person who is completely anti-us and anti-my country. And this is not true. I don't have a logistic way to explain this at this day and age. I am a representative of my own country. I am thankful to everybody but I can't keep explaining that."
But there's something that bothers Khan for sure. "But when it comes to a work which involves so many people, I feel saddened that it got represented in such a manner. And if anybody is hurt by the same, I regret it. One has to allow the openness of a person who's working towards thanking the people for the love that they have given me as an Indian. I worked very hard to make people smile," he tells reporters. But the good news is in fact that the protests are slowly dying down. "I have now heard its quelling down. So I wish that all the people who wish to see the film on their own, please go and watch it. do not get misled or misappropriated by people who perhaps have misconstrued what I said. I am not in a stage and age where I need to clarify my stands for businesses, I don't need to vouch for who I am, what I stand for. I am sad that my work gets tainted like this."
But is there a pressure on him to apologise? Pat comes the reply. "I have not said anything for which I should apologise because then, I would fall in my own eyes. The last person in this world who will ever feel affected is me. A lot of places got affected because of the protests. But to me, the numbers don't matter. The fact that we can't release a film is what saddens me. It is hurtful for me to understand why something that we make to give happiness will suddenly become something that gets tainted or becomes controversial. That part is sadder than how many theatres it wasn't allowed to be showed in."
After watching the entire video, it's really easy to gauge the intention with which SRK had actually made the statement. And there's one huge point that the protests have brought about? Are we really tolerant? If yes, why are we deliberately targeting a movie star who's trying to give out a message of humanity and brotherhood to the youth and staging protests, calling a ban on his film? Is it because he is Shah Rukh Khan? Such questions need to be answered.
But one thing which is evident from the way the film has been banned at some major key centres and the way a fraction of Indians have held SRK responsible for his comments on 'intolerance'. That Indians need to pay much more attention and understand the intention or the context behind a comment that any public figure makes before jumping the gun. Making an opinion about anything might be easy, but what's difficult is to realise the main reason behind such a move.
Because after all, public shaming of Shah Rukh Khan in the name of patriotism only goes on to reveal the pseudo-patriotism that actually exists in the hearts of many Indians across the country. Is this what patriotism is all about? And I'm sure that writing this piece would mean the same section of the audience questioning my patriotism. But I'm sorry to inform you guys that if this is what you call patriotism, I'm certainly not a part of this crowd. Because my definition of patriotism is completely different.
To all those who are protesting the movie, I ask, who made you the sole flag-holders of patriotism in the country? Who gave you the power to decide what’s patriotic or what’s not? Why can’t a democracy allow members of the public to speak their minds openly? Dissent is the reason that we exist today, free of British rule, how can people now suddenly speak up so strongly because someone doesn’t agree with them?
For those who participate in whereaboutery (asking where SRK was during 26/11 or other such events), we suggest you search Google, you will see what SRK had to say about those events. Patriotism doesn’t mean blind faith in our nation, and criticising certain aspects of the nation doesn’t make you unpatriotic.

Kajol spills the beans on Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn's relation with each other

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol

Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn have never known to be close friends. Despite having Kajol as the common link between the two actors, they have always decided to keep themselves at an arm's distance from each other. But Ajay and SRK made heads turn when the two were spotted dining together in Bulgaria during the first schedule of Rohit Shetty's Dilwale.
However, SRK's close buddy and Ajay's wife Kajol finally spilled the beans on their relationship during the promotions of Dilwale. The My Name Is Khan actor confirmed that there is no friendship between SRK and Ajay, but at the same time, she also maintained that the two are not rivals or enemies.
If two people are not friends, that doesn't mean they are enemies. I have said this earlier also. Just because they don't party together and you don't see them clicking selfies, that doesn't mean that they hate each other or bad-mouth each other," the 41-year-old said at an event.
Touted to be the most romantic on-screen jodi, Kajol and Shah Rukh have worked together in a number of films and their crackling chemistry has been an all time favorite with most of the Bollywood fans. Be it Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge or Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, the two have always cast a spell on the audiences.

Be it Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge or Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, the two have always cast a spell on the audiences.
And it's not just reel-life romance, the two have been closest of friends in real life too. But this friendship hasn't been extended to Kajol's husband Ajay as the two don't want to impose their friendships on each other.
"Yes, Shah Rukh is my friend and I have been very clear that my friends are mine and I have never imposed my friendships on Ajay and he has never done it either. We are both very clear about it. You need to give people that space. There are people who you are close to, that I may not be close to and that does not make them enemies. Recently, they met each other in Bulgaria and they have met before also at our home. I don't think there is a discomfort, but I also don't think there is any friendship either. But there is nothing wrong with that," said the Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham actor.
Kajol will reunite with Shah Rukh on 70mm after a gap of five years in Dilwale. The film, which is set to hit the screens on December, also stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.

Salman Khan verdict: Shah Rukh Khan is happy and glad

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan says he is happy for Salman Khan after the Bombay High Court acquitted him in the 2002 hit-and-run-case. Salman was acquitted of all the charges on Thursday, after the court held that the prosecution had failed to prove its case.
“I haven’t spoken to him... But on a very personal level, without getting into anything bigger or generic, he is my friend, my colleague, we have known each other for years so if something good happens to him, we all feel happy,” Shah Rukh told reporters.
The actor, who will visit the sets of Salman’s hit show Bigg Boss 9 this weekend to promote his upcoming film Dilwale, said he might go and visit Salman soon. “I am glad... In whichever way the judgement has gone it’s positive for him. So we feel happy. But I haven’t spoken to him yet. May be if I get time I’ll go meet him,” he added.
The Bajrangi Bhaijaan star will celebrate his 50th birthday on December 27.
Speaking about his experience while shooting for the promo video of Bigg Boss 9, Shah Rukh said the experience of shooting the promo was fun. “More than reprising the Karan Arjun feel, it’s just nice always to be with Salman. We share a lot of personal moments together but we were shooting after a long time. We were together for three-four hours and talked more than shooting the promo, which we did in one, one and a half hours,” Shah Rukh told reporters.

SRK and Salman have been showering praises on each other for some time now. (COLORS)

Humming a few lines of the title song from Karan Arjun, SRK described his friendship with Salman, “It was fun to be with him. As he (Salman) says, I don’t want to make it melodramatic and emotional, ‘Ye bandhan toh pyaar ka...’ It was good to be with him,” he added.
The actor was speaking at The Shah Rukh Khan Film Festival organised by PVR which will showcase his iconic films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayege, Chak De India, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan from December 11-17. His upcoming romantic-drama Dilwale is scheduled to release on December 18.

Shah Rukh Khan makes a U-turn, claims he never said India is intolerant

In a surprising turn of event, Shah Rukh Khan - the first Bollywood star to join the ongoing debate on “growing intolerance” in the country - claimed that he never said India is intolerant.
Asked if he should use his stature as an icon for broader purpose, Shah Rukh Khan said while he wanted to do that, he is often misquoted. Talking to Mid Day, he said, “I talk about something and it is misconstrued, and I get into trouble. That’s a nuisance.”
Broaching on his controversial comment, he said, “Like that thing which blew up recently — I never said India is intolerant. When I was asked about it, I said I wouldn’t like talking about it, but when they insisted, I had just said that the youth should concentrate on making this a secular, progressive country.”
Shah Rukh was attacked by the BJP leaders and branded a ‘Pakistani agent’ after he said there was an atmosphere of growing intolerance in the country. “Intolerance religiously… not being secular in this country is the worst crime you can do as a patriot,” he replied to a question during a Twitter townhall on November 2. On artists and dignitaries returning awards in protest, Shah Rukh had said, “I have not been in a situation like that. But I respect the people. If they think this gesture is going to turn things around, it is very brave, very honest.”
“It is just that people like to believe what they want to believe. Misconstruing my words might or might not suit a particular political agenda, but I am annoyed because I didn’t mean what is being portrayed. I am an actor and make films. This is enough of a job. I am an icon because I can be what I am on screen. I would rather stick to that,” Shah Rukh Khan told the Mumbai tabloid.
The denial has come to light just a day after Aamir Khan , one of the most vocal stars in the industry, said the growing intolerance in the country scares him. “When I chat with Kiran at home, she says ‘Should we move out of India?’ That’s a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make. She fears for her child. She fears about what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers every day. That does indicate this sense of growing disquiet, growing despondency, apart from alarm,” Aamir said in Delhi on Monday.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale trailer, Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo release, Amitabh Bachchan’s Diwali bash

Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale trailer, Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo release, Amitabh Bachchan’s Diwali bash – Top 5 news-makers of the week!

A major film release…a major film’s trailer release…a few high-profile Diwali bashes…the Diwali week pretty much kept Bollywood from being dull and boring!
While Salman Khan had his second release of the year this week, his good friend Shah Rukh Khan released the trailer of his much awaited and solo film of the year. Then there were Diwali parties and Bajirao Mastani also squeezed in to get its share of attention. Let’s look at the top 5 newsmakers of the week!
Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale posters clash…again!
This Sunday, the makers of Bajirao Mastani released Priyanka Chopra’s Kashibai poster (drool!) and Deepika Padukone’s Mastani poster (OMG!) within a few hours. Since Priyanka wasn’t in the country, as she was shooting in Canada, Kashibai poster was released online but the Mastani poster was launched in a grand way. However, with a few minutes of the unveiling of the Mastani look, the makers of Dilwale released the first look of their lead cast – Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon – in a single poster, without any sort of intimidation. This, kids, is what we call us stealing someone’s attention!
PRDP Dubsmash vs Dilwale Dubsmash
Unlike the previous section, this was one rivalry that made everyone go Awwww! Salman Khan and his PRDP costars, including Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nithin Mukesh, Swara Bhaskar and Deepak Dobriyal, did a Dubsmash of Shah Rukh Khan’s DDLJ track. After that, the Dilwale team, including SRK, Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and Rohit Shetty, reciprocated the deed by doing a Dubsmash of PRDP’s title track. Seeing the growing camaraderie between SRK and Salman Khan, we can almost imagine Rakhee Gulzar popping up and say , ‘Mere Karan Arjun aa gaye!’
Dilwale trailer launched
The much anticipated Dilwale trailer was finally launched in a grand way by Shah Rukh Khan and his team, and as expected, it was a typical Rohit Shetty film with romance, comedy, action, high production values and more cars being blown. The only thing that now makes it unique is the SRK-Kajol pairing in the film, that comes of as the USP of the film.
The Diwali bash and the great reunion
The Bachchans held a big Diwali bash at their house, with Amitabh, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan playing the perfect hosts. Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Preity Zinta, Vikas Bahl, Jacqueline Fernandez, Raveena Tandon, Ranveer Singh, Sonakshi Sinha, Anil Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia etc. being the part of the guest roster. Then there was Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor’s party, where Salman Khan almost bumped into Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor!
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo gets a HUGE release
This Diwali week as purely reserved for Salman Khan’s goody-goody act in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The film is directed by Sooraj Barjatya and also stars Sonam Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Swara Bhaskar, Deepak Dobriyal, Armaan Kohli and Neil Nitin Mukesh. As expected, the movie got an astounding start at the box office, but also received middling reviews instead. Still, the film will ride high on Salman Khan’s star-power. After all, when has his fans bothered with the opinions of the elite few?

In Dilwale Trailer, Shah Rukh Khan Has a Dark Past

Shah Rukh Khan

The first trailer of upcoming film Dilwale starts on a romantic note with Bollywood's iconic onscreen romantic jodi, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, taking the lead.

But it soon shifts focus to action and jokes with Varun Dhawan and Shah Rukh at the forefront.

And just when you thought that the film was a happy-go-lucky romantic-action film, like previous Rohit Shetty films, Shah Rukh says, "hum shareef kya hue, puri duniya hi badmash ho gayi."

The rest of the trailer stresses on Shah Rukh's dark past and the story of what may have gone wrong in Shah Rukh and Kajol's love story "15 saal, 4 mahine aur 10 din" ago.

The film, which was pitched as the ultimate love story, definitely has an intense feel to it. For die-hard Rohit Shetty fans, there is ample action to keep you entertained.

The Dilwale trailer was released by the cast and crew, including Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, at an event in Mumbai on November 9.

Shah Rukh Khan Gets a Sultan-Style Birthday Hug From Salman

Shah Rukh Khan Birthday

Shah Rukh Khan, who turned 50 on November 2, began the party with his family, continued it with fans and the press, and ended it with bhai Salman Khan. For years, the two Khans conducted a public feud that was punctuated briefly by much publicized and photographed hugs at iftaar parties and award shows. This time, there was a birthday hug.

Early morning Tuesday, SRK posted these tweets, referring to both of Salman's next films - 2016's wrestling movie Sultan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, coming up in two weeks:
Salman, who plays a Haryanvi wrestler in Sultan, is training in mixed martial arts and wrestling with Larnell Stovall of movies like The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Falcon Rising. Salman earlier sent SRK birthday wishes via news agency PTI, saying, "I wish him the best in life. I wish him good health, family, success and the most amazing life. I would want the whole family to be healthy. I wish that for everyone."

All three of Bollywood's ruling Khans turn 50 this year, with Salman's birthday coming up in December.

5 times Shah Rukh Khan NAILED IT during the rapid fire session on Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan

5 times Shah Rukh Khan NAILED IT during the rapid fire session on Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan- watch videos!

Apart from Shah Rukh Khan’s talent and dedication, what makes him incredibly awesome, is his sharp mind. The superstar is one of the wittiest and funniest actors in the industry. As we all know, SRK and Karan Johar have been great friends since their Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge days together and it’s but natural that Kjo saw SRK as his frequent guest on show, Koffee With Karan. I without a doubt can say, that SRK has been THE most entertaining celebrity to have graced the show, since its inception. It’s his rapid fire rounds that I could watch re-runs of and not get bored.
The actor has the ability to twist the question or put Kjo in the spot, which I find engaging to watch. I bet along with me, there are several dir-hard SRK fans who agree with this, and have been left in splits with SRK’s unbeatable wit. Here are 5 times SRK nailed it during the rapid fire sessions on KWK:
This has got to be one of the funniest comments made by SRK on KWK. The actor was asked on what he would do if he were to find out that he woke up as Kjo. SRK was prompt with his reply and said,” You know Karan, the chances of me waking up in the morning, turning into you is less, but, waking up in the morning with you, is more. That’s what everyone says!”
I know what you are thinking. If you just went ROFL and “whaaa?” at the same time, I’ve been there as well. SRK was aske to complete the sentence on why women find him attractive and desirable. In order to be sarcastic in an obvious yet entertaining way, the superstar chose to go with an outlandish answer to the question and said, “ Women find me attractive and desirable because of my lonely, dense, sad eyes, which crave, love.” You’ve got to see it, to believe it.
This answer is a clear example of SRK’s spectacular wit. The actor has the knack of turning the tables around and leaving everyone in splits, with his hilarity. Kjo hosted a special rapid fire session once, which saw SRK and Amitabh Bachchan, competing for the hamper. One of Kjo’s questions was, “The one thing you’ve always wanted to tell Amitabh Bachchan, but didn’t…” and SRK replied saying, “Rishtey mein toh hum tumhare baap lagte hain.” Now this comment made even Big B break into laughter! There has always been buzz regarding the supposed rivalry between SRK and Big B. What’s cool is how SRK pulled off a satire on the same with Big B’s iconic dialogue. Well played Mr Khan!
SRK took a major dig at his Om Shanti Om director Farah Khan, when the two were seen promoting the film on KWK. When asked on whom he would cast for the role of Psycho, SRK said,” Farah during release.” He went on to talk about how the filmmaker goes crazy with her upcoming film. It’s hilarious and you need to watch this episode right away!
When asked to name two film personalities SRK would not like to be stranded on an island with, SRK said,” Aditya Chopra and Karan Johar, I’m through with you guys.” Reasoning further, the actor said, “You and Aditya on an island with bore me with love stories. I don’t want to be stranded with you, even if you both are wearing chiffon sarees.” Lol! I’m not even sure what SRK meant by that, but nonetheless, it was hilarious. And on top of all this, SRK went on to sing “Kabhi Adi, kabhi Karan,” in the Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham tune. I know you want to watch it!
That’s a wrap. Which of these statements made by SRK, do you find the funniest? Post them in the comments section below. As for the superstar himself, Bollywoodlife wishes the actor a very happy birthday and thanks him for having entertained his fans, all these years with his films, talent and impeccable sense of humour!

I am always amazed as to how much energy Shah Rukh Khan has: Kajol

Kajol-Rohit

Kajol, is returning to the big screen after a long gap. The actress is paired once again with Shah Rukh Khan. But it's not just them. There is also Varun Dhawan in the film and newcomer Kriti sannon. Here, she talks about her co-stars. Read on..
On Kriti
"Kriti is a good sport, we made a lot of fun of her height, initially. She took it with good humour rather than sitting and frowning about it. Her attitude on set is really good, she is genuine and puts in a lot of effort. You can see that she wants to do better."
Dilwale has Shah Rukh and Kajol reuniting after the 2010 release My Name is Khan. There is no denying the incredible chemistry they share on screen. When asked about the one thing that hasn't changed in SRK over the last few decades, Kajol said, "The fact that he is always more than 300 per cent available at every shoot. I am always amazed as to how much energy he has. He is always ready to creatively and physically push himself with absolutely no care for his own self. This is the one thing that hasn't changed at all over the years I have known him.
Kriti on Kajol
She has a few scenes with Kajol in the film. She admits she was super nervous on facing the camera with the senior actress, "I have to confess I was very scared to work with her initially, but the way she helped me in my very first scene with her just made it so easy. She was so helpful and gave me such good insights on how I should say my lines or do the scene. Just watching her perform is amazing because she is an instinctive actor, she plays out what she feels. It's all in her eyes, she just acts through them. She is also a lot of fun to work with, we have had emotional scenes where we both just cracked up and laughed hysterically."

Shah Rukh Khan Says What Actors Do in 'Awkward' Situations

Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan says that actors do go through awkward situations but they cannot always express their discomfort.

The 49-year-old actor, who is busy shooting the final leg of Dilwale, said that they are not left with any other choices.

Shah Rukh Khan Thrills Edinburgh With Lungi Dance.10 Best Quotes From Speech

Shah Rukh Khan

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan received an honorary doctorate from the United Kingdom's University of Edinburgh on October 15 for his philanthropic work. After accepting the honour, SRK gave a rousing speech about real life lessons, with examples from the plots of his movies.

Here are top 10 quotes from SRK's speech:

1. There's no such thing as 'normal'. That's just another word for lifeless. Madness (of the particularly nice/romantic kind) is an absolute prerequisite to a happy and successful life. Don't ever treat your little insanities as if they are aberrations that ought to be hidden from the rest of the world. All the most beautiful people in the world, the most creative, the ones who led revolutions, who discovered and invented things, did so because they embraced their own idiosyncrasies.

2. Being brave means being shit scared all the way to the party but getting there and doing the 'Funky Chicken' in front of all your teenage kid's friends anyway. Don't let your fears become boxes that enclose you. Open them out, feel them and turn them into the greatest courage you are capable of. I promise you, nothing will go wrong. But if you live by your fears, everything that can possibly go wrong will go wrong and you wont even have done the 'Funky Chicken'.

3. It's ok to be confused. Confusion is the route to all the clarity in the world.

4. Art is more important than the artist - have no attachment to your own art- it's regressive, move on.

5. Don't become a philosopher before you become rich.

6. If you aren't charged up about doing something, if you don't have what in Hindi we call the "Josh", the fire in your belly for it, then don't do it.

7. Chak De India taught me that whatever it is that is pulling you back, its not going away unless you stand up and start forging your own path with all your might in the opposite direction. Stop whining and start moving.

8. Study hard. Work hard. Play harder. Don't be bound by rules...don't hurt anybody and never ever live somebody else's dream.

9. Hindi filmon ki tarah life mein bhi, anth mein sab kuch theek ho jaata hai. Aur agar na ho, toh woh anth nahi hai...picture abhi baaki hai mere doston.

10. Live Now, Live Today-don't be bound by rules, live your own dream.

After his speech, SRK asked 'bored professors out there in the first row', to join him for theLungi Dance from his film Chennai Express.

Other Indian stars to have been given honorary doctorates in the UK include Amitabh Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty, Akshay Kumar and AR Rahman.

This photo of 'Dilwale' co-stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol captures the essence of true love

Love is absolutely eternal. White its interpretation, ways to express and aspects might differ, but the essence remains the same. Those who are movie buffs will agree that while flowers and special gifts are often referred to as the best medium to express one’s unconditional love, at times, it is all about the right interaction through glances and emotions.
The photo which Shah Rukh Khan recently shared on Twitter has been clicked by filmmaker Rohit Shetty. The romantic photo which features both Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol on the sets of ‘Dilwale’ is a perfect example of how just a photo is enough to capture the essence of a romantic relationship.

Shah Rukh Khan

Taking a stand against online trolling, superstar Shah Rukh Khan has asked his fans to refrain from abusing and trolling other actors on social media.

CQE6q32UkAArf-5

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who received a Harley Davidson motorbike as gift from filmmaker Rohit Shetty earlier this week, says he likes travelling to film sets on bikes as it “frees my mind.”
The 49-year-old, who is currently shooting for Shetty’s forthcoming film “Dilwale”, took to Twitter on late Friday to share a photograph of himself in which his hair looked messed up.
Night shoots I like and the bike rides to location even better…frees my mind and more than ‘frees’ the hair,” Shah Rukh tweeted alongside the image. Interestingly Shah Rukh, who is working with Shetty for the second time after 2013 film “Chennai Express”, got a Harley Davidson motorbike as a gift from him.
“Rohit gets me a new set of wheels 2 ride 2 work everyday. Hawk. Beemer. Harley. We don’t walk the talk on ‘Dilwale’ sets,” Shah Rukh tweeted earlier. Dilwale”, which also stars Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, is slated to release on December 18.

How Shah Rukh Khan Gets to Work on the Sets of Dilwale

Shah Rukh Khan

In a tweet posted late Tuesday night, actor Shah Rukh Khan claims he rides to the sets ofDilwale in Hyderabad on a 'new set of wheels' everyday. Director Rohit Shetty apparently provides him with a different bike daily - he's already ridden a Hawk, a BMW and a Harley Davidson.

We say 'claims' because SRK might well be pulling a fast one, as he does, and the bikes are likely being used in Dilwale's action scenes.

It would appear that, while the number of wheels have remained unchanged, SRK has steadily graduated from using an IO Hawk, which is a personal mobility device.

And now, the bikes. Shah Rukh's set of wheels are getting swankier by the day.

Dilwale also stars Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Vinod Khanna and Boman Iran and is slated to release on December 18 this year.

After Dilwale, Shah Rukh has Maneesh Sharma's Fan and Rahul Dholakia's Raees to look forward to

Shah Rukh Khan Promised 'Best Koffee' if he Visits KJo in London

Shah Rukh Khan

Bollywood power players Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar are intent on restoring their newly-renewed dostana to K3G-level and, when they're separated by half a world, there's always Twitter.

Pleasantries were exchanged late Wednesday night, with SRK demanding coffee on a possible weekend visit and KJo promising him 'the best Koffee,' a reminder perhaps that SRK skipped the previous season of the filmmaker's chat show.

SRK, who is currently in Hyderabad filming Dilwale, would have to fly long-haul to visit Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil unit in London - but hey, what's an international flight and the price of a ticket when you are a Super Khan?

Last Saturday, SRK appeared to take a gentle dig at KJo, reminding the Bombay Velvet actor that his place in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was behind the camera, not in front of it.

Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar last collaborated on 2010's My Name is Khan and will soon begin work on director Gauri Shinde's second film. SRK will star, with Alia Bhatt, and also produce as will Dharma boss KJo. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, one of the most awaited movies of next year, stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
