The ramp outside Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow Mannat, which had become a bone of contention for the locals in the area, was demolished by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on early Saturday morning.
The ramp outside Shah Rukh Khan’s sprawling bungalow in the posh Bandra Bandstand area was apparently used for parking the superstar’s luxurious vanity van. The locals in the area had complained that the ramp obstructed the smooth passage of traffic.
Late last month, BJP MP Poonam Mahajan had taken up the issue with the municipality and filed a complaint with Municipal Commissioner Sitaram Kunte.
Last week, Shah Rukh Khan was sent a notice by BMC to demolish the allegedly illegally constructed ramp. He was given seven days to do so.
Since the superstar didn’t get the ramp demolished, the BMC officials turned up at Mannat on Saturday morning and demolished the ramp.
Shah Rukh Khan has lately been busy shooting for the YRF film Fan.
